Restaurants In Ogden

By Lori Buenavista

Bistro 258 is very proud to offer delicious, unique main courses to diners in the Ogden Historic District. Nick Cash and his son Devin dreamt of owning and operating a bistro for many years. In 2007, they obtained the business and began taking part, hand and hand. They're excited to become a portion of the rich, lively community in Ogden-one that combines a brief history of the Union Pacific Railroad with modern-day entertainment and amenities.

Bistro 258 can be found at 258 25th St. Ogden, UT 84404. They're open over the week to serve you a delectable meal, a romantic evening meal for two, or a meal with all your friends. They provide extended hours on Friday and Saturday. Monday-Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Friday-Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They are not open on Sundays.

They'd enjoy helping you make a booking, or speak to you regarding your recent visit! Ogden happens to be a railroad town. In 1869, the very first Union Pacific Railroad Station was developed (the railroad speedily outgrew the original building). Businesses appeared all along 25th Street to support train passengers, who loved the local shops, eateries and accommodations. 25th Street also had a bit of sketchy past-it was well-known because of its brothels and, during Prohibition, illegal booze flowed in back rooms. Ogden (and 25th Street basically), was a stark contrast to nearby Salt Lake City, with their Mormon temple and clean dwelling. During the 1950s, 25th Street was cleaned up and renovations began. The 1990s saw even more advancements and today, this historic portion of Ogden is a hectic thoroughfare brimming with art, music, entertainment and great food.

Why We Love Ogden Today

The residents of Ogden, and their guests make up a unique, diverse community. The city hosts many gifted individuals who make Ogden great. And, the city has something to offer every person: from shopping to galleries to historic sites-we have their own Minor League Baseball team! Immediately after your meal, make sure you have a look at these local attractions:

You'll have the Union Pacific Railroad Station simply a block and a half away. Dating back to 1924, the historic station now holds the Utah State Railroad Museum, the John M. Browning Firearms Museum along with the Browning-Kimball Classic Car Museum.

Peery's Egyptian Theater is a short a pair of block walk from Bistro 258. Built the same year as the Union Pacific Railroad Station (1924), the movie theater seats 800 patrons and provides film screenings, local music, plays, musicals and a host of other terrific events.

When you're trying to find a few laughs after dinner, drop by Wiseguys Comedy Cafe, where you'll find some of the best stand-up comedians in the nation! Wiseguys is a well-liked spot for entertainment-City Weekly chose it as the "Best Comedy Club!"

Cheer for the Ogden Raptors at Lindquist Field. We're proud of our Raptors, who play in the Pioneer League. You'll see some great up-and-coming talent out there on the field. The season runs June through September.

Ogden Farmers Market runs by July through September. You'll discover fresh veggies from local growers, as well as hand crafted crafts and goods from local artisans.

Associate with your fellow Ogden neighbors at the First Friday Art Stroll along 25th Street. It's held on... you guessed it... the first Friday of each and every month, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
