Some Great Places To Go For Original Pizza

By Marie Wilson

The byways of any state can offer great places that only residents and a few travelers visit for good food. It is a theme in local dining, places that are small or family run and well known among locals but welcoming to all comers. But these may be passers through who know the good stuff by simply looking where many people go.

New Jersey is a place where you can find many of these. Pizza in Cape May NJ can be found in these places, where most people go, which are often small but nifty places. Many offer authentic Italian cuisines which makes for variety, the reason for which is that residents know and are proud of where they came from.

Pizza can be topped by anything delicious, plus there is pasta and entrees that you can find in these places. They belong to a category of fine dining that never goes beyond the warmth of family hospitality. This means portions you can tuck into and less expense, just two of their many qualities.

Sauces and cheese come in many different flavors in the town, once thought to be a new Atlantic City by its city fathers, another tourist destination. Proof of this are the turn of the century showplaces down by the boardwalk. Yes, and there are the seaside resorts, hotels, beaches and the facilities that go with them.

The city is a place for the Navy, but the organizational installations here are domesticated fixtures because they are mainly schools and admin facilities. It is a town that you magically go to and enjoy, and it has not gone the commercial way. Which is for the best, because good cuisine can be ruined by too many people wanting a slice of that great tasting pizza pie.

Foodies will love the calm and laidback charm of these places, which is the same spirit found in the community. There is time to enjoy the sights while sitting under striped awnings with coffee first, then some good gourmet style pizza later. The abundance of styles can get them hopping from one place to another, with more destinations left over after the first day.

These places are surprisingly genteel, but not so surprising because there is a working class ethic here, which has its own excellent qualities. These are for things like affordability, no need to spend too much on good food, no dress codes, and no cordon bleu waiters sniffing around the tables. Ultimately, it is the pizza that takes pride of place, that would not be out of place in food magazines, and which come in the heartiest portions.

If you have some questions, look for the certificate of excellence signs at the front of restaurants. There are lots of these to be found, and you can have no better evidence of what is offered on the inside. Plus, for those in search for more romantic and formal spaces, these restaurants will have some reserved for those who want them.

There should be more upscale and infinitely better diners, yet for those who want good food served fast or who need a good long meal, these will do. Also, the informal spirit remains, which means that much less fuss or formal dining standard practiced. For this town, ovens made of brick are not uncommon, installations used in the real sense of being part of a home.
