Not only that, because it also has very strong anti oxidant flavonoids such as beta carotene and lutein. Such does great work in neutralizing free radicals which causes cellular damage to your body. This is another reason why guava is said to strongly combat signs of ageing.

Potassium, which are mostly found in bananas, are also found in guavas and were found to have been much more abundant in them. Potassium is an electrolyte which aids the muscles in your body to contract, as well as your nerves to function. Because of this, guavas are capable to prevent cardiovascular diseases and control your blood pressure and heart rate.

Finally, because they contain great amounts of ascorbic acid, they are very effective sources of natural antihistamine. Such is a medication used in the treatment of diseases like hay fever, asthma, insect stings and bite, and other allergic reactions. For the health benefits mentioned above, there is not denying why guava is considered as a super food.
