Eat Better With No Salt Poultry Seasoning

By Stephanie Robinson

Food that is prepared with natural ingredients is not only good but good enough to eat every day. Many do not realize the harmful ingredients found in preprocessed food until it is too late. There are many food helpers, products that are pre seasoned that have large amounts of preservatives. A wise alternative would be to use no salt poultry seasoning in entrees and side dishes.

When people eat out, they seldom realize that the majority of the food on their plate is loaded with salt, MSG, or other ingredients that preserve it beyond its natural shelf life. Even vegetables may contain preservatives, unless they are prepared fresh without gravies or sauces. Since meats tend to be more expensive and require the most flavoring, they are often the culprits.

People are cooking at home to avoid this but sometimes things found at the supermarket are just as bad as fast food places . Many meal preparation products that come already mixed use a lot of sodium and sugar to remain stable. The same applies to vegetables that are canned or frozen with a lot of seasoning or sauces. Making this from scratch is much better.

People who are busy may feel they have few alternatives to eating right since they may not want to cook after a long day at work or school. While eating at a fast food restaurant is fine once in a while, healthy home cooking does not have to be an arduous task. There are no salt seasonings not only for poultry but beef and fish as well.

Using herb based seasonings is a great way to start. Most of these contain powdered garlic or salt, along with fresh herbs that have been dried with minimal processing. A lot of these are great salt substitutes and few can tell the difference between these can their salty counterparts.

Using products such as these in cooking can help reduce blood pressure. When a person converts from processed foods, they may also find that food digests faster and eliminating waste is easier. Garlic is often associated with being able to reduce high blood pressure with a sensible diet.

Choosing leaner meats can make a difference. Poultry with the skin removed leaves less seasoning and can cut caloric and fat intake drastically. If a person wants to experiment with meat alternatives like grain or tofu, these can benefit from meat seasonings also.

Vegetable broths that are low sodium or made with organic ingredients can also season food the healthy way. This is also a good way to prepare fresh and frozen vegetables. Anyone who wants to experiment can try a combination or use a recipe book for inspiration.

Eating right has many health benefits and there are so many ways to cut corners in cooking so that it is not so labor intensive. When a person makes positive changes in their diet, they often feel more energized and less sluggish. Fresh foods also digest faster than those made with processed ingredients. By making this an ongoing habit, a person will notice that their vitals will change for the better. If they can be active a few times a week, they may also be able to lose excess pounds.
