The world majorly depends on agriculture for what to eat. However, demand is far greater than supply. This has necessitated the introduction of GMO seeds, including nutrition with lots of additives. Unfortunately, this has not worked so well with peoples bodies. It has resulted in numerous lifestyle diseases that are expensive to treat. It is, therefore, important to eat healthy cuisines. The wild foods of California would be ideal.

Many spirited campaigns have been launched to advise people on the importance of eating natural cuisines. It is depressing to say that very few people follow this advice. They buy groceries from supermarkets and other stores without looking for adequate information. Unfortunately, most of those places sell commercially grown supplies. Unlike organic vegetables and fruits, they use a lot of chemicals to improve growth. This explains why wild edibles are the best.

Studies indicate that fruits and vegetables slowly lose their minerals and vitamins as they age. When you go to the supermarket and local stores to buy veggies, you can never be sure when they were supplied. Since most of the stores keep them in open refrigerators, they will always look fresh. However, if they have overstayed, you will only get a raw deal as they will have very little minerals and vitamins.

Vegetables and fruits have a big market thanks to the many towns. Most town dwellers lack adequate space to grow their own crops. Even those with enough tilling land either lack the time or are not interested in growing their own produce. For this reason, they never know what makes a fresh produce. It is unknown to them that what they buy goes through hybridization.

Furthermore, hybridization is a useful process for them as it helps the produce stay longer on the shelves. As if that is not enough, nearly all the veggies and fruits are harvested before they are truly ready for consumption. This type of harvesting ensures that produce is not bruised during transportation. It is surprising that customers are attracted to how a produce looks more than its state of freshness.

Crops that grow in the bushes and forests are naturally strong. They are also healthy and can adapt to any changes in their surroundings. This explains why you will not find someone weeding or spraying the crops to control weeds and pests. Survival of the fittest remains the unspoken motto for the jungle. Such plants usually have their natural goodness and will not have anything to harm your body.

Enjoying such great cuisines is not a preserve for the few. For the most part, most of this plants grow wild near residential areas. Have a habit of maintaining nature and you will enjoy what it has to offer. If you cannot find them, consider making a trip to the conservation areas. You can be sure to find them. Use one of the local guides to help you choose edible fruits and vegetables.

Essentially, eating fresh produce is good for your health. This is especially so for crops that are grown naturally. You can enjoy such meals from selected restaurants around you.
