How To Choose The Right Chilled Drink Dispenser For Your Needs

By Tammie Caldwell

Serving guests is something that an increasing number of people want to be able to do. There has been an increased interest in appliances and devices that make home entertaining much easier and more convenient. One appliance that you may want to consider buying is a chilled drink dispenser. Using one of these can make it easier to serve juice and cola at the perfect temperature.

If you have started your search you will have noticed that there are many different models to choose from. It can be overwhelming and frustrating to go shopping if you don't know which features to look for. Here are some things to consider that may make it easier to select a model that will suit your needs.

One thing to think about is how many guests you will be serving. This can determine how large a liquid reservoir you should look for. If you know how much liquid your glasses hold and you multiply this by the number of guests that you have on average, you will be able to tell how large of a reservoir you will want to purchase.

Some people prefer to serve flat beverages while others want to provide their guests with carbonated drinks. If you like the idea of serving your guests pop or sparkling drinks, you need to think about how the server you buy will keep your drinks fizzy. Make sure you choose a model that is designed for pop or drinks that are bubbly and remember not to let the liquids get exposed to the air.

You may also want to think about how many drinks you will be serving at one time. This will help you decide whether you want a dispenser with a single reservoir, or one that will allow you to serve multiple types of beverages at the same time. Keep in mind that models with more than one reservoir will be more expensive and will also take up more space on your counter and while you are storing it.

The length of time that the beverages will be sitting in the appliance will also affect the model that you choose. For example, if you will be serving beverages all day and you need to make sure that liquids stay cold you may need to find one that has a refrigeration element or a reservoir for ice. Both of these features will help ensure that the drinks inside stay nice and cool for more than just an hour or two.

Shopping is the last step and should only be done once you have a good idea of what features you are most interested in. While these items used to be hard to find, they are much more common these days. If you want to find models to choose from you can find them both at kitchen supply stores as well as ones that cater to restaurants.

By making some basic decisions about your budget and the features you would like in your dispenser you can save a lot of experimenting and frustration. The background work will be worthwhile when you sit back and enjoy a cool drink even on a day that is very warm
