Chocolate have made itself one of the most in demand commodities around the world. It is incorporated and mixed in almost everything that requires a sweet flavor. In truth, it does contain caffeine but the content is not too high like what others are saying. It is just equivalent to one cup of decaffeinated coffee.

Many avoid eating chocolate especially when these people are watching their diets because it is fattening. But not all of it contains saturated fat that can increase the bad cholesterol levels. In fact according to research, the white ones even have the ability to raise the levels of the good cholesterol.

And even though many people think that these confections does not have a good effect on the body, this is a wrong belief. A chocolate is packed with the necessary anti oxidants that would help the body in lowering the blood pressure and prevent any serious heart condition. Dark chocolates are especially rich in antioxidants.

Parents do not want their kids to eat too much chocolate because it can cause cavities to the teeth. It is true but it would also be unfair to single out this confection as the main source of teeth cavities when all of the other foods could cause it. Without regular brushing and even without eating a chocolate, your teeth will still have cavities.

Sometimes people also associate their acne situations with their consumption of chocolate. There has been a recent research saying that there is no truth in this. Your diet does not affect the way your acnes behave so you do not have to blame the chocolates.

Many dieticians say that when you want to lose weight, you should avoid high calorie foods. But truffles are only high in calorie if they are taken in huge amounts. Aside from that, having chocolates in your diet every once in a while can prevent the urge to do binge eating because chocolates can satisfy your cravings.
