It is easy to spot the said dough because it is usually in the refrigerated section of a grocery store. The dough dries out extremely quickly so make sure to handle it quickly. The leftovers should be covered with damp towels to retain moisture.

One has to handle the dough with care not only because it will dry out easily but also because it is quite fragile. It is recommended to work with the said dish as quickly as possible so that they do not end up drying the dough too much. If the moisture is still there, one can prevent the ripping of the dough since it can hold together quite well when moist.

When making the dish, melted butter is a necessity. One should make sure to brush a generous amount of the melted butter into the dough. The melted butter should be spread evenly and lightly. To make the butter easier to apply, one should use a pastry brush. One can even avoid tearing the dough with it.

After the dish has been layered into the baking dish and is now ready to bake, the person should then slice it up before placing it into the oven. When the dish has been cooked, the phyllo dough will then become crunchy. In that case, it will definitely crumble if one tries to slice it up after it has been baked.

The dish should be sprinkled with nuts too. The nuts are the best ingredients that can be added to the dish. It is a good thing that there are a number of edible nuts that people can add to pastries nowadays. Examples of the nuts that can be used for this dish are walnuts, almonds, and pistachios.

The nuts are not the only addition that can give a unique taste to the dish. It is important to have some spices into it too. Just like with the nuts, one should add variety to the spice. Try out some cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom or a mix of them. The person will surely end up with a perfect spice blend after experimenting.

One should work on making this dish quickly. This is so that the person does not lose the moisture of the phyllo dough easily. Make the layers of nuts and phyllo fast. Do it with care too. Prepare the ingredients beforehand to be able to finish the layering phase quickly.

The dish will have to be made in large batches. If there are a lot, do not feel too pressured to finish them all in one go. People can leave some for later, after all. When there are leftovers, wrap the dish before depositing it into the freezer.
