Healthy Vegan Snack Every Day

By Bernice Terry

When you crave for a healthy vegan snack, the best thing you can do is to have a piece of fresh fruits or vegetables. Carrots, celery or even turnip are quite tasty, and you don't really need to serve them with some kind of dip. If you cut them into small sticks, they will be perfectly appealing as they are.

Fresh and dried fruits should always be in your home. When you need something sweet, pure natural sweets are the best. Besides, some fruits can also be very effective in fighting diseases, for example apricots. They contain vitamin B17, especially in their seeds. Collect and dry seeds, and you can use them afterwards, as a great source of this valuable vitamin.

When you are buying dry fruits, make sure to buy unsweetened ones. If you can find organic fruits, even better. It's very easy to dry your fruits in your oven, too. Preheat your oven on 40 to 50 degrees, put a piece of backing paper in your pan and place fruit slices on it. Every once in a while you should shake a pan, until all slices are dry.

If the weather is sunny and dry, you can try to do it on traditional way. Slice your fruits and put them on a paper towel. Use a piece of gauze for insect protection and leave everything on sunny balcony. Dry fruits can be kept in paper bags.

Apple chips are easy to make and delicious to eat. Slice your apples and place the chips in preheated oven on 40 degrees of Celsius. Use baking paper and shake the tray every once in a while, until apples are done. You can also sprinkle everything with generous amount of cinnamon, to make your apples taste even better.

If you have a bowl of dried fruits on your table, you'll always have something tasty when you are hungry, and you won't eat junk food. Dried fruits can be used for making brownies, tasty grain bars or some other desserts. Just chop the fruits, add your favorite muesli or grains, add some honey to connect the ingredients and spread everything on baking paper. Now you just have to cut it to small pieces.

If you like coconut, you will probably just love these coconut balls. Prepare minced almonds, coconut flour and unsweetened coconut milk, condensed. You will also need some honey or some maple syrup. You can also use almond milk instead of coconut milk, if you prefer. Make a thick pastry, shape small balls and roll them in coconut flour. These balls taste incredibly good.

Peanut chocolate balls have too much calories to count them very carefully, but they taste incredibly good. Every once in a while you should prepare something that will rise your endorphin, anyway. This dessert is really easy to prepare. Organic, low fat pure cocoa, some brown sugar and organic peanut butter will make the base. Form a small ball, roll it in cocoa powder and repeat the procedure. It might be messy to prepare these balls, but they can still be called a healthy vegan snack, and taste just great.
